You know, there is a little bit of "trailer park" in all of us!
An Airstream travel trailer was a dream of the Chulas. A little bit of cash and a case of beer later, we were livin' the dream! We rescued this 1972 model from a very scary "park" and after many many man and (wo)man hours, it is ready to hit the road. We were totally inspired by the 1970's era. This trailer is the 31' long Sovereign model. We have polished the aluminum to a super shiny finish.....think mirror.
Now that we own a rolling condo, we can go to the beach, the ranch or at any of the wonderful National Parks that the US has to offer. Destination is only limited by imagination. This shiny beaut will also make an awesome guest house! This is where you'll stay if you are visiting Cuidad Chula. So get in the right frame of mind!!!
We've made a ton of improvements since acquiring this fun little trailer:
1) Brand New air conditioning ~ Don't wanna sweat!
2) New vents on top
3) New screens on the windows ~ Gotta keep the critters out!
4) New wood laminate flooring ~ When real wood just won't do.
5) New tires, bearing and seals~ Boring, but gotta have it
for hittin' the road.
6) New Formica counter tops (stove top taken out)~ But really, who wants to cook on vacay? Get a pit and BBQ!
7) The bed cushions have been replaced and upholstered in a white vinyl~ OHHHH vinyl!!! Swanky!
